In-Home Design Consultation & Measuring
The custom process begins with an In Home consultation. We spend time getting to know you, your design preferences, your light and privacy needs, and your family lifestyle.
At a follow up appointment, design options are presented, fabrics recommended, measurements taken, and hardware chosen. Then it is off to the fabrication studio. Its as easy as that!
Drapery Panels, Soft Shades & Valances
Our drapery panels, soft shades, and valances are personally fabricated by Tracy in our studio. The highest quality linings are used to enhance and protect your treatments.
Attention is given to every detail from the simplest of pleats to the most luxurious hand stitched trim.
Our reputation is grounded in our quality fabrication and couture finishes. Our shades are fabricated to meet safety requirements set by the window coverings industry.
Bedding, Pillows & Cushions
Whether it is creating a bed ensemble or enhancing a ready made set, we can design a unique bed set that fits your style. Pairing a ready made coverlet with a custom made bed skirt and shams is a wonderful way to stretch your budget.
Add in embellished pillows, an upholstered headboard, and even a bed corona and you have a bedroom fit for a luxury hotel!
We also offer custom cushions for benches, window seats, banquettes, and outdoor furniture.
Slipcovers
At Sew Elegant, we do not offer a one size fits all slipcover! Rather each one is likened to a tailored suit custom fit for your furniture. The furniture piece is brought to our fabrication studio where the slipcover is pin fit directly onto the piece.
Special attention is given to decorative details and pattern placements.
All seams have a serged finish to allow for longevity and laundering.
We provide guidance to our clients in fabric selection which is best suited to their lifestyle and needs.
Upholstery
Our upholstery services include upholstered headboards, ottomans, and reupholstering furniture. When reupholstering a furniture item, we will strip the old layers, secure and tighten up any loose joints, and refresh with new webbing, dacron, and foam.
Custom details such as decorative nailheads and gimps/braids can be added to enhance the overall design.
Pickup and delivery service is provided upon request.
Blinds, Woven Shades & Shutters
We offer a wide selection of quality wood and faux wood blinds suitable to enhance your decor and provide privacy.
Our woven shades are available in many textures and finishes. They can be fabricated to allow different amounts of light control and privacy – from filtered light to total blackout and privacy.
We are a certified O’Hair shutter dealer offering quality hardwood shutters fabricated in America.
These shutters can be custom matched to your trim paint or stain and are available in several louver sizes.
Professional Installation
Our team of certified professional installers will ensure your custom items are installed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Fabrics & Trims
We have a wonderful selection of quality fabrics and trims from Duralee, Robert Allen, Beacon Hill, Highland Court, Peter Dunham, Sister Parish, Lauren Liess, Catania Silks, Greenhouse Fabrics, Mitchell Fabrics, RM COCO, d”Kei, and more.
Drapery Hardware
We offer the highest quality hardware to our clients from The Finial Co, Helser Brothers, Paris Texas, Select Hardware, Orion, and Ona.
