About Sew Elegant
Fine Window Designs
Our main goal is to provide the best quality soft furnishings for our clients and help create a wonderful living space that can be enjoyed for years to come.
We work alongside interior designers and retail clients throughout Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas.
Sew Elegant had its humble beginnings in 1994, under the business name “Curtains To A T” in a small town in Eastern North Carolina. The workspace consisted of an empty Living Room, a folding table, and a simple home Singer sewing machine. In a very short period of time, that Living Room was filled with industrial sewing machines and a 5’x12’ work table. We provided custom window treatments for retail clients all throughout the region.
In 1998, our family had a major life change and moved to Searcy, Arkansas. The former “Curtains to A T” experienced a major change as well and became Sew Elegant. Not only did we provide custom window treatments to retail clients, we began working with local interior designers to service the wholesale community. The workroom was still located in our home but had upgraded to the garage area. Our vendor list grew and our designs became more complex and challenging.
In 2003, we experienced another major change by building a detached workroom and upgraded the name to Sew Elegant Fine Window Designs, LLC. It was important that the business name reflect the quality and high standards we had come to represent. Not only did we expand our workspace but we also expanded our offerings to clients. Custom fitted slipcovers and upholstery services were added along with the addition of woven shades, blinds, and shutters.
